Intelligent suction roll system for maximum efficiency



How does SMARTROLL work?
The individual components like sealing strips, end deckles, loading tubes, holders, lubrication systems and noise-reducing strips communicate with each other over the entire period of operation, resulting in a more efficient and regulated suction roll operation.
The components are equipped with electronics so that the data can be acquired. Data is saved via a cable or wirelessly to a server that is connected to the network. The measurement data is monitored on a tablet, smartphone or laptop.
The external regulation or control of the roll process data also takes place, if so desired, via mobile IT communications devices.

MEASURE

Wear
Wear measurement takes place through the electronics integrated in the sealing strips.


Temperature
The friction temperature and the sealing strip temperature are measured using sensors via a microchip embedded in the sealing strip.


Noise level
There is a noise sensor located in the holder, which sends the prevailing noise level to the server.


Water flow
The sensors integrated in the smart sealing strip holder provide continuous information about the flow quantity of lubricating water.


Loading pressure
The loading pressure is measured with the integrated sensors.

Lubricating water
Depending on the strip temperature, the software regulates the necessary lubricating water quantity for every individual sealing strip.


Noise level
Depending on the noise level, the software regulates the setting of the sealing strip and thus facilitates the highest possible noise reduction.


Loading pressure
The loading pressure is controlled depending on the sealing strip temperature and the vacuum.

A suction rolle consist of 4 components, which can be made "SMART" either individually or all together.

SMART SEAL
SMART SEAL is a sealing strip with an integrated, programmed sensor system, which transmits information at predefined intervals via an external server to defined and approved visualization devices.

SMART LUBRICATION
SMART LUBRICATION defines exactly how much lubrication water is required for every sealing strip during operation.

SMART SILENCER
SMART SILENCER is a noise-reducing sealing strip in suction rolls.

SMART TUBE
The tube loading pressure is regulated depending on the vacuum in the suction zone and the temperature in the sealing strip.
